Festival Jewellery

These necklaces and bracelets are designed for complete beginners, make them as a party activity or for summer festivals!

  • You can download the instructions for these bracelets in both left and right handed versions.

  • A photo tutorial is included for how to hold the hook and yarn, and how to do the basic chain stitch. See below for a video tutorial for chain stitch too!

  • Instructions are given on how to add beads to embellish your bracelet. Instructions are also given for making matching necklaces.

Three chains decorated with matching beads

If you prefer not to use beads, make 5 or 6 chains and knot together for a chain-only bracelet.

Necklace using chains of differing lengths.

2 x 50 cm (pink), 2 x 55cm (blue), 2 x 60cm (purple). Tails are 10cm.

Necklace using 4 x 55cm long chains with 4 large beads. The tails are 25cm long, with beads on each end.

You will need:

Any scrap yarn and the appropriate hook for that yarn weight (check the yarn label). Sport/4ply weight mercerised cotton works well (e.g. Scheepjes Catona) with a 3.5mm hook.

You will also need a yarn needle and some beads with large central holes (i.e. ones that the crochet chain and yarn needle will pass through).
